What happens
At month-end, CCN Health figures out which patients have a billable encounter and will create the matching appointment in Athena Health, one per encounter, so the billing side already exists in the chart.
How it works
The month-end run checks the monitoring activity against real CPT thresholds: 99454 needs 16 or more reading days, 99457 needs 20 or more monitoring minutes, 99458 each additional 20, and CCM 99490 needs 30 minutes of care management. For each threshold met, CCN will create the corresponding appointment in Athena Health so a claim can be raised against it.
The benefit to your practice
Your billing team will stop creating encounters by hand. Every billable encounter will already exist in the chart, ready to bill, every month. This capability is in active development.
