The guide

Date of Service and Signing in RPM Billing, explained.

Two buttons close out each billing month: one sets the date of service, one signs. Every label below is the real one from the app.

01

Overview

A monthly close-out, in two clicks.

Open Billing, RPM tab. Two buttons sit in the header: Set Date Of Service and Bulk Review and Sign. Step one stamps a date of service on every patient in the month. Step two signs off on all of it at once.

The buttons show for super users with the feature on. Date of service always comes first.

02

Step one

Set Date Of Service.

The calendar button in the card header.

Pick the month, click the button, choose one date. Save stamps it on every patient in the month.

Patients without a billing record get one; patients with one get the new date. Rerun it anytime: the newest date wins.

While it runs

The strip shows Updating..., the buttons disable, and the page refreshes about a minute later.

Step two

Bulk Review and Sign.

The checkmark button beside Set Date Of Service.

One pass signs the whole month. The modal asks for Signed At and an optional Note. Save stays disabled until Signed At is set.

Save stamps three values on every patient's month: the signed date, the note, and signed by, each patient's own provider.

No date of service yet? The modal shows "Set a date of service before signing." instead of the form.

The strip

The overview strip keeps score.

The white strip under the card header.

Three stats: Last date of service, Last signed date, and Patients without signed date. A dash means no value yet. Updating... means a bulk job is running.

One record per patient, per billing month.

After both steps, every patient's month carries the full sign-off: the date of service, the signed date, the signing provider, and the note.

That is what an auditor asks for: a name and a date on every patient, every month.

Worth knowing

  • Per patient, not per batch. The record lands on each patient's month individually.
  • The signer is the patient's provider. Multi-provider panels attribute correctly.
  • Repeatable. Rerun either step; the newest values win.
