CCN Health Adds Spanish-Language Support Across Patient Communications
LOS ANGELES, CA — September 10, 2025 — CCN Health today announced Spanish-language support across its patient-facing communications, including interactive voice response calls, SMS alerts, patient education materials, and onboarding guides. The expansion addresses the needs of the more than six million Spanish-speaking Medicare beneficiaries who often face language barriers when engaging with remote monitoring programs.
What Is Translated
The Spanish-language rollout covers every touchpoint in the patient experience. IVR calls — the automated phone interactions that prompt patients to take readings and provide health status updates — are now available entirely in Spanish, with native-speaker voice recordings rather than machine-translated audio. SMS alerts that notify patients of upcoming readings, missed device transmissions, and clinical follow-ups are delivered in the patient's preferred language.
Patient education materials have been translated and culturally adapted, not simply run through automated translation. Onboarding guides that walk patients through device setup, reading schedules, and what to expect from their monitoring program are available in both print and digital Spanish-language formats. Clinical staff can toggle a patient's language preference in the platform, and all subsequent automated communications switch accordingly.
Improving Engagement and Compliance
Language barriers are one of the most significant drivers of poor engagement in remote monitoring programs. Patients who do not fully understand their device instructions, alert messages, or the purpose of their monitoring program are more likely to miss readings, ignore alerts, or disenroll entirely. Spanish-language support directly addresses this gap.
Early results from pilot facilities show measurable improvements in device compliance rates among Spanish-speaking patients who were switched to Spanish-language communications. Patients reported feeling more confident in their ability to use monitoring devices and more comfortable responding to IVR health assessments when conducted in their primary language.
"Health equity is not an abstract goal — it is an operational requirement," said Cosmo Cochrane, Co-Founder of CCN Health. "If a patient cannot understand the instructions for their blood pressure monitor or the alert telling them to contact their doctor, the monitoring program is not working for them. Spanish-language support fixes that."
Availability
Spanish-language patient communications are available now to all CCN Health customers. Language preferences can be set per patient during enrollment or updated at any time through the provider dashboard.
